Supply’d V5.4: Multi-Invoicing & Recipe Versioning
V5.4 introduces major upgrades to two important areas of Supply’d: how and when you invoice customers, and how recipes are managed across products and locations.
Let’s get straight into what is new in V5.4.
Flexible Multi-Invoicing
Invoices have been disconnected from sales orders, giving you much more flexibility over how orders are invoiced.
- Dedicated Invoices Tab: A new Invoices tab on the Sales screen gives you one place to access and manage all invoices.
- Connected Visibility: Once an invoice has been created, it will also be linked directly from the associated sales order or orders.
- Partial Invoices: Create multiple invoices against an order, making it easy to invoice for deposits, progress payments and remaining balances.
- Full Invoices: Generate a single invoice for the full value of an order.
- Consolidated Invoices: Combine multiple sales orders from the same customer into a single invoice.
Flexible Invoicing Rules
You can now define invoicing rules globally or override them for individual customers, giving you greater control over when invoices are generated.
- When Shipped: The default setting. An invoice will be created automatically when the order is shipped.
- Manual: An invoice will only be created when you manually select to generate it.
- Daily: A consolidated invoice containing all eligible orders for the customer will be created at midnight each day.
- Weekly: A consolidated invoice containing all eligible orders for the customer will be created at the end of each week.
- Monthly: A consolidated invoice containing all eligible orders for the customer will be created at the end of each month.
If you need to issue an invoice for prepayment, you can manually generate one from the sales order by selecting 3 Dots > Invoice > Generate.
Recipe Versioning
Products can now have multiple recipe versions, making it easier to manage recipe changes, location-specific processes and alternative production methods without replacing the existing recipe.
- Multiple Recipe Versions: Create and manage multiple recipes against the same product.
- Easy Recipe Switching: Quickly change which recipe version is active whenever your production requirements change.
- Location-Specific Recipes: Optionally activate different recipe versions at different locations.
- Production Run Consistency: Production runs will retain the recipe that was active when the run was created, ensuring later recipe changes do not affect an existing production plan.
- Recipe Product Stages: Recipe-type products also support recipe versions, along with stages that allow you to assign labour and methods for recipe downloads.
